Terms of Service

Sourced Rentals is an online marketplace operated by T1 Ventures, LLC dba Sourced Rentals ("Sourced Rentals," "we," "us"). We provide a platform that lets equipment owners ("Hosts") list personal property for short-term rental and lets other users ("Renters") discover, book, and pay for those rentals.

Sourced Rentals is not a party to any rental agreement between a Host and a Renter. We do not own, inspect, maintain, deliver, insure, or operate any of the equipment listed on the platform. Each rental is a direct transaction between the Host and the Renter, governed by the Rental Agreement generated at checkout.

• You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract.
• You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or the safety of other users.

• Hosts are solely responsible for the condition, safety, legality, maintenance, licensing, registration, and insurance of the equipment they list.
• Hosts represent that they own the equipment (or have the right to rent it) and that it is in safe, working order at the time of pickup.
• Hosts are responsible for accurate listing descriptions, availability, pricing, and add-on services.
• Hosts are responsible for collecting and remitting any applicable taxes on rental income.
• Hosts must comply with all federal, state, and local laws — including motor vehicle, watercraft, aviation, and equipment regulations.

• Renters use rented equipment at their own risk and are responsible for operating it safely and lawfully.
• Renters must inspect equipment at pickup, hold any required licenses, and follow the Host's instructions.
• Renter expressly assumes all risk of personal injury, property damage, or loss arising from the rental or use of any equipment booked through Sourced Rentals, including risks that are not obvious.
• Renters are responsible for damage, loss, theft, late return, cleaning, and fuel/fluid charges as described in the Rental Agreement.

Sourced Rentals charges a platform commission on each booking (currently 10% of the rental subtotal, subject to volume discounts described on the platform). Renters pay a 20% deposit at booking and the 80% balance before pickup. Host-defined add-on services are billed as separate line items.

Payments are processed by our third-party processor (Stripe). Payout timing to Hosts is held in escrow until the rental is confirmed complete. Applicable sales, use, and rental taxes may be added at checkout or remitted by the Host.

• Renter cancels 48+ hours before pickup: full refund of the deposit less payment processing fees.
• Renter cancels within 48 hours of pickup: deposit is non-refundable.
• Renter no-show: deposit and any charged balance are non-refundable.
• Host cancels a confirmed booking: full refund to the Renter, and the Host may be subject to a service fee or listing suspension.
• Bundles (multi-item bookings): if any Host cancels or declines, the entire bundle is refunded and rebooked at the Renter's option.
• Extenuating circumstances (severe weather, safety recall, natural disaster) may qualify for a full refund at our reasonable discretion.

Sourced Rentals is not an insurer and does not sell, broker, resell, or administer insurance policies. All coverage is provided by third-party carriers chosen and paid for directly by the Renter (or, where applicable, by the Host). When a Host requires insurance, the Renter must show valid proof of their own third-party policy covering the rental period before pickup. Coverage terms, limits, exclusions, deductibles, and claim procedures are governed entirely by the applicable third-party policy, and any claim is handled by that carrier — not by Sourced Rentals.

• Illegal activity, racing/competition, or commercial use not disclosed to the Host.
• Sub-renting, reselling, or transferring the equipment to a third party.
• Operating under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substance.
• Removing equipment from the geographic area agreed with the Host without written consent.
• Tampering with GPS, telematics, or safety systems installed on the equipment.

THE PLATFORM AND ALL LISTINGS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." SOURCED RENTALS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY OF ANY LISTING, THE CONDUCT OF ANY USER, OR THE CONDITION OR SAFETY OF ANY EQUIPMENT.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOURCED RENTALS, T1 VENTURES, LLC, AND THEIR OFFICERS, MEMBERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR PROPERTY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM OR ANY RENTAL. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE COMMISSIONS WE COLLECTED ON THE SPECIFIC BOOKING GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sourced Rentals and T1 Ventures, LLC from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from (a) your use of the platform, (b) your rental, listing, or operation of any equipment, or (c) your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.

Please read this section carefully — it affects your legal rights.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms, the platform, or any rental will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will be conducted in the state of the Renter's residence (or, for Hosts, the Host's residence) and judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

Class-action waiver: you and Sourced Rentals agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative action. Small-claims court and injunctive relief for intellectual-property claims are excluded from arbitration.

You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing legal@sourcedrentals.com with your name and account email.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to the arbitration section above, exclusive jurisdiction for any court proceeding lies in the state and federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with an updated effective date; continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
